Exams: Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of a physical examinations every 6-12 months. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help identify and alleviate health problems early. Our wellness programs are designed to ensure your pet has regular exams, diagnostics as indicated by life-stage, and routine vaccines, heartworm testing, and other preventive services as indicated.
     
Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including spay, neuter, mass removals, ear and eye surgeries, abdominal surgery, orthopedic surgery, biopsies, and more. We utilize the safest available anesthetics and tailor our anesthetic plan to the individual patient. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. A designated assistant monitors heart and respiratory rate, temperature, ECG, blood pressure, oxygenation level, and carbon dioxide.
   
Radiology Services:  Our modern digital X-ray and ultrasound machine provide rapid high quality images and give us the ability to send images to a radiologist for fast consults.

Cardiopulmonary Services: We have the ability to perform ECG monitoring, oxygen level monitoring, and blood pressure monitoring to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and lung diseases.
   
Dentistry:  Dental cleanings need to be performed yearly, more frequently for some dogs, to help keep your pet healthy. Complete dental care is always performed under general anesthesia to ensure that every surface of every tooth can be inspected for disease. Our dental services include full mouth x-rays, teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
   
Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory provides for serum chemistry (kidneys, liver, electrolytes, proteins, thyroid, and more), blood cell counts (to assess for anemia, infections, and other diseases), heartworm and tick disease testing, urinalysis, and internal parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
    
Microchipping: We offer microchip identification and register your chip for you. This quick procedure can be done in the exam room and does not require sedation.
    
Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
   
Parasite Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We recommend the best ways to control fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites.

Dietary Counseling:  Many health problems can be avoided or corrected with proper nutrition. We provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
    
Behavioral Counseling:  Behavior problems are the number one reason for a pet to be given away or to a shelter. Proper socializing and training will last for the life of your pet! We provide advice on problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
